I did extensive research and interviewing to find the right agent to list my property, and am the first to admit that I am not an easy person to please and tend to be very wary of real estate agents. Jeff exceeded any and all expectations. I have had less than optimal experiences in the past when selling and buying properties in Chicago, St. Louis, and Scottsdale, but Jeff made sure that history did not repeat itself. From my initial inquiry phone call to the closing, Jeff consistently and honestly answered all my questions, phone calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner, as well as provide detailed and helpful guidance at every step in the process. This is due no doubt to Jeff's extensive expertise, professional integrity, and in-depth knowledge of the market in my neighborhood. Unlike many real estate agents I've encountered, Jeff does not take a "churn-and-burn" approach to selling a property in order to pad his sales statistics. Rather he puts very careful time and thought into making market readiness recommendations specific to my property and potential buyer demographic, determining the optimal list price by going beyond Zillow "Zestimates" or merely pulling up online comps, then developing an individualized marketing strategy that capitalizes on his online presence on a variety of appropriate platforms (not just throwing something up on the MLS), making best use of print materials, scheduling showings that highlighted the best features of my property and neighborhood, and then using his personal network with other agents and previous clients to line up serious buyers who are already pre-approved for financing. As a result, within 24 hours of my house going on the market, there was a three-way bidding war and a two days later I accepted a contract that came in over list price. During the negotiation and attorney review phases, Jeff made sure to advocate for me and negotiate in a fair but firm manner with the buyers and their agent. In fact, the real estate attorney whom Jeff recommended to me mentioned several times how impressed she is with Jeff and his team, and specifically noted that, unlike many agents with whom she works, Jeff does not disappear once a contract is signed. We did interview a few agents to ensure we chose the right one to work with in selling our condo. Throughout the interview process, Jeff and Jen definitely stood out well ahead of the others. Although we had tenants in the property and lived out of state, Jeff and Jen did not hesitate to take on the listing. Realtors usually want the easiest path possible toward getting the home sold and we had one other realtor who wanted the tenant out and the unit staged in order to sell it. Jeff and Jen's willingness to take on the additional burden of having the tenant in the unit definitely paid off in much less carrying costs for us in the long run. During the selling process, Jen did a great job working with the tenant to schedule showings and ensure that potential buyers could see the unit. She also went above and beyond the call of duty helping to clear up an inspection item that came up. In the end, we ended up selling our unit for 99% of the list price within 4 days of listing and the process through close was flawless.
